Forli was an important pass on the Via Emilia during the Roman period, adjacent to the Apennine Mountains in central Italy, serving as a pivotal city connecting the east and west of Italy. With a rich history, Forli has witnessed continuous commercial exchanges since the Roman Empire. As the economy flourished, cultures from different regions of Italy collided and merged here, leading to the construction of many churches and palaces with medieval European characteristics.
